The Edge Exhibit
Posted: January 5, 2015 Filed under: Uncategorized 4 CommentsThe Edge Project is a collaboration of artists, started by my friend James Eikman, to bring awareness to the reality of homelessness. Some of my photos I’ve been sharing at this website will be shown at The Edge Photo Exhibit, at Greenwood Public Library, all through January 2015, along with the work of other photographers. I never thought I’d be showing any of these photos in print, but here we are. I don’t know where this road will lead, but I’m excited to see the message spread, that homeless people have faces and names, that they are people with hopes and dreams like you and me.

Your comment….”I do not know where this road will lead” nearly brought me to tears. I was there six months ago and now you are strapping yourself to the yoke. It can be a bumpy road but there is a dim light at the end…..hang on it is going to be one hell of a ride.

Thank you, James! I’ve read your blog and can relate to your thoughts. If you haven’t yet, you can read about how I started on this journey by clicking on “How This Blog Got Started” link at the top of the page. The compassion for the less fortunate has been there from my childhood, and I have been helping them on a personal level as I have opportunity. But I always felt like there ought to be more that I could do. And thus I began to use my skills in photography and writing to be a voice for the homeless. I’m glad I got to know you on this road, and hope we can continue to be a support to one another, and collaborate to be a stronger voice. God bless you in your work as well!
